Credits

What is the difference between a Supplier credit and a RACQ Travel credit?
    +
    Hunter Travel Group Credits

A Hunter Travel Group Travel credit is issued by us in place of a refund depending on the circumstances of your booking cancellation. These credits are subject to our Booking Terms and Conditions and can only be used at a Hunter Travel Group store.

    Supplier Credits

Depending on your booking and the travel service provider, you may receive a supplier credit when your booking is cancelled. This credit is issued by the supplier and remains with them and not with the Hunter Travel Group.

Supplier credits are typically provided when refunds are not available and can only be used for products offered by that certain supplier. These credits are subject to the supplier’s Terms and Conditions.

We are always here to help you get the best value from your supplier credit when you are ready to rebook.

My booking was cancelled, will I receive my credit?
    +
Once your credit has been issued, you will receive the details via email from either your Travel Advisor or the supplier directly.

Credits are issued after the supplier has completed the cancellation of your booking. This process can take up to 12-18 weeks from the cancellation date, depending on the supplier.

If you haven't received your credit details, please contact your Travel Advisor or your local Hunter Travel Group store for bookings made in-store. For bookings made online, please call 1300 435 569 to speak with our Call Centre team.

    Credit expiry
    +
    Hunter Travel Group Credits

Hunter Travel Group credits have a set validity date which will be advised to you upon issuance of your travel credit by your Travel Advisor.

    Supplier Credits

If your credit is held with a supplier, the expiry date will depend on their policy. Different suppliers (airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, etc.) have varying policies.

Suppliers regularly review their travel credit policies, and in some cases, extensions may be available. If your credit is nearing its expiry date and you haven’t been able to use it, please contact your travel supplier directly to discuss your options further.
